Mrs. Mary Ann HENRY 75, former resident of the Freedom neighborhood died Sat. night at her home in Danville, following an illness of only a few days. She was born on April 16, 1868 near Talbot, the daughter of Henry and Jane MITCHELL; she was married there on Feb 15, 1888 to Ephraim Henry who survives other survivors are one son, Jesse A. Henry, Waynetown; a daughter, Mrs. Esse M. BOWLES, Danville, Ill; a foster son Max WARREN of Lafayette; three brothers, Goerge MItchell, Portland, Oregon (only one listed) ; 9 grandchildren and 8 greats. One daughter, a brother, a sister, had preceeded her. Funeral services were held at the Freedom Baptist church of which she was a member at two o'clock Tuesday Jan 11 with the Rev. John Caldwell in charge. Burial in Freedom cemetery. - kbz

Mrs. Mary Ann Henry, 75, died Saturday night in Danville, Ill following an illness of only a few days . Mrs. Henry lived much of her life in the Freedom neighborhood. She was born April 16, 1868 near Talbott, the daughter of Henry and Jane Mitchell; and was married there on Feb 15, 1888 to Ephraim Henry, who survives. She was a member of the Freedom Baptist Church. Survivors in addition to her husband, are one son, Jesse A. Henry, Waynetown; a daughter, Mrs. Esse M. Bowles, Danville, Ill; a foster son, Max Warren, Lafayette, 3 brothers, George Mitchell, (sic) Portland Oregon as well 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. One daughter, a brother and a sister died previously. The body was returned to the Reeves funeral home here, where friends may call. Funeral services will be at the Freedom Baptist Church Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in charge of the Rev. John Caldwell and the body will lie in state for an hour before the service. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. - kbz
